Lindsey Brown, MA, LCMHCA works with clients ages 13 and up. She received her Masters in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her Bachelors in Psychology from Appalachian State University. She believes every client has strengths and the ability to make positive change. Lindsey utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and solution-focused techniques, as well as techniques from Family Systems Theory and Person-Centered Theory. She is a strong advocate for providing psychoeducation about mental health and wellness to her clients.
Lindsey's specialities include adolescents, women's issues, and family relationships. Additionally, she has experience helping clients with anxiety, depression, self-harm & suicide, family conflict, relationship issues, gender identity, and personality disorders. Before joining Carolina Counseling & Consulting, Lindsey worked in the public school system. She understands the unique challenges that arise for children and families navigating the modern education system and frequently helps parents of her younger clients advocate for their children's needs at school. Lindsey is passionate about working with parents, both as clients needing mental health care and parents of teenage clients looking for support.
In her free time, Lindsey loves making homemade bread, gardening, and spending time with her cats.
