Dorothy earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University in 2023, preceded by her BA in Psychology from UNC Charlotte. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A). She has experience working with clients on a wide range of concerns to include depression, anxiety, stress, relationship concerns, grief and loss, disordered eating and general life changes and challenges.
Prior to her counseling career, Dorothy had a successful career in business accounting. This experience, rich in diversity, helps her to connect with people from all backgrounds.
Dorothy's approach to counseling is eclectic and based in Person-Centered and Cognitive-Behavioral theoretical approaches. She believes the client is the expert on themselves works collaboratively to create a personalized treatment program.
Dorothy enjoys working with adults over 18 and provides counseling services in both individual, group, and telehealth settings.
In her free time, Dorothy enjoys trips to the beach, reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.
